Decero Cabernet Sauvignon, Remolinos Vineyard 750 ml

Altitude 1050 M 3500 ft. Gravel-rich, alluvial soil. Decero: Born of a bare patch of land in the foothills of the Andes, true to the meaning of Decero, our wines, like our estate, have been handcrafted from scratch. Remolinos Vineyard, Agrelo, Mendoza: Remolinos vineyard is located at 3500 ft in the Mendoza sub-appellation of Agrelo. Our initial exploration of the rich tapestry of soils enabled us to plant the variety most suited to each soil profile. We planted our cabernet on a gravel rich swathe of alluvial soil typical of some of the world's finest cabernet sites. Ever humbled by our unique environment, our farming approach is sensitive, hands-on and sustainable. Our vineyard takes its name from the Remolinos - little whirlwinds, whose airflow protects our vines from spring frosts and keeps the grapes in perfect condition. 2018 Decero Cabernet Sauvignon: Handpicked March 27th - April 9th 2018, this wine has classic notes of cassis, cedar and graphite bound together by structural tannins enhanced by 14 months in French oak barrels. Decero cabernet sauvignon is a handcrafted expression of its unique site of origin. Product of Argentina. Red wine. The Porta Protocol. Sustainably farmed.
